A Choka followed by a Tanka envoi. Older forms of Japanese poetry! ^_^ The Choka is the oldest form of Japanese poetry, and the Tanka is rather old as well. The example of Choka I found had a Tanka envoi, so I wrote one for mine as well.
The past can really bind us to it, hindering our ability to grow. But sad truth it may be, we must move on down our own path if need be. It may be lonely, but it is the only way to improve the situation. One must always be moving, progressing. Otherwise they become stagnant. I merely am following my path, the past isn't going anywhere, but I must move forward.
